Gail Hammer Photography is located in Toronto, Ontario. Gail specializes in wedding photography and environmental portraiture. She uses her people skills, natural lighting and good instincts to create memorable images. Gail works with both digital and film and will often hand-colour photographs, giving them a unique and special look. She prefers to photograph subjects in their own environment, which she feels adds to the memorable quality of the portrait.
"I especially enjoy working with children and animals because they are not self-conscious and are very natural in front of the camera. I believe that the subject contributes as much to the portrait as the photographer, and so I prefer to choose environments with which they are familiar and comfortable. I talk with my clients about what they would like to capture in their portrait rather than repeating the same poses seen in so many wedding photographs and children's portraits. A photograph that captures the essence of the subject is timeless and memorable."
